All eligible applicants are being sent an email. They will be asked to appear in an interview to be held online. There is no need to travel physically to IIT Delhi. The list of such candidates who are eligible to be called for interview is displayed below.
What will be tested in the interview?
The admissions panel will look for a basic understanding of cognitive science and academic competence in areas related to cognitive science. You are suggested to read books like Mind: Introduction to cognitive science by Paul Thagard (see a short write up here: http://cogsci.uwaterloo.ca/Articles/cognitive-science.routledge.pdf ) or a similar book or access related resources. What is the schedule for the interview? How to join?
The interviews will be held online on 22nd and 23rd in three parallel panels – P1, P2, P3. The schedule is displayed below. Applicants must be online at the designated slot. Detailed instructions are being sent via email. If an applicant is not present, then we shall count it as absent/no-show. The link to join is being sent to applicants and it is specific to the person only.

National level score is a must. Applicants can apply using COGJET 2023 scores . Candidates with valid JAM/GATE/CSIR/JRF/NET scores and those from Centrally Funded Technological Institutes (CFTI) with a minimum GPA of 8.0 and those with an MBBS degree from recognised institutions and universities are exempted from COGJET. Note: National level entrance exam cutoffs will not apply for CFTI candidates (CGPA ≥ 8.0 required) or for candidates with MBBS (Total score ≥ 55% required). Foreign students are welcome to apply. Please see the international portal . Such candidates might be waived from requirements of national level exam as the case maybe.

How many total seats are available in the M.Sc. program?
Total seats: 25
15% seats are reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates, 27% for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates and 10% for EWS candidates.
What is the eligibility for the program?
Any Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, including Bachelor Degrees from universities/institutes located outside India, subject to the guidelines for admission of foreign 14 students as laid forth by the statute of IIT Delhi. The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. International applicants can apply. Please see the international portal.
The minimum cut-off grade in the qualifying degree will be as per the existing norms. At least 55% aggregate marks or 5.5 CGPA/CPI out of 10 without rounding-off (taking into account all subjects including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for General/ OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/EWS category candidates (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) in the qualifying degree. For Candidates with letter grades / CGPA (instead of percentage of marks), the equivalence in percentage of marks will be decided by the Institute. For SC, ST and PD candidates, relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 CGPA (on ten-point scale) in the qualifying degree will be provided.

What is the admission process?
Admission to the program will be through shortlisting based on acceptable national-level exam scores of the exams mentioned above. The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The selected candidates after that will be issued offer letters. Exemption from COGJET: Applicants with valid JAM/GATE/CSIR/JRF/NET scores (where applicable) would be waived from COGJET. In addition, applicants from CFTIs with a minimum GPA of 8.0 and those with an MBBS degree from recognised institutions and universities are exempted from the COGJET/GATE/JAM/CSIR/JRF/NET requirement. This will be subject to revision as decided by the academic section of IIT Delhi and will be as per rules.
What happens after the application?
Once applications are received, the shortlisting criteria for the program will be decided by the department DRC (and approved by the Dean, Academics) and those candidates will be called for an interview.
